Seismic behavior experimental study of frame joints with special-shaped column and dispersed steel barbeam

Shuchun LI, Bo DIAO, Youpo SU,

Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering 2009, Volume 3, Issue 4,   Pages 378-383 doi: 10.1007/s11709-009-0064-8

Abstract: To overcome the problem that steel bars are put too close at a flame joint with special-shaped beam andcolumn, mechanical performance of three groups of six RC flame joints with special-shaped (L, T and+) column and dispersed-steel bars-beam on the top floor under cyclic loads were studied.Experimental comparison was conducted between special-shaped (L, T and+) column and normal beams.Stiffness degeneration of flame joint with L-shaped column is rather serious due to concrete damage stiffness

Abstract: as formability under extreme loads such as earthquakes are the primary challenges in the modeling of beam-to-columnand neural network methods have been presented in order to model the complex hysteresis behavior of beam-to-columntraining of the neural network, the experiments were carried out on samples with real dimensions of beam-to-columnthat the combinational modeling is able to display the complex narrowed hysteresis behavior of the beam-to-column

Abstract: The paper presents numerical findings of reinforced concrete interior beam-column joints under monotoniceffects of hoop reinforcement ratio in joint core and the axial compression ratio on the responses of the jointsshear force and thus to increase the shear capacity, prevent the outward buckling of steel bars in columnthe propagation of cracks, but also to increase the yield load, decrease the yield displacement of beam

Strategic Study of CAE 2007, Volume 9, Issue 11,   Pages 92-95

Abstract:

The paper makes experiment about six T-shaped cross section column framejoints under low periodic cycle loads. The paper uses variable parameters of beam section height,  the axis-pressed ratio and thesame time,  this paper makes use of a software ANSYS to develop the language APDL two times to T-shapedcolumn joints to carry on nonlinear finite element analysis,  adopts discrete cracking model smeared

Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering   Pages 1145-1162 doi: 10.1007/s11709-023-0945-2

Abstract: seismic-resilient reinforced concrete (RC) moment-resisting frame structures, a novel self-centering RC columnwith a rubber layer placed at the bottom (SRRC column) is proposed herein. For the column, the longitudinal reinforcement dissipates seismic energy, the rubber layer allows therocking of the column, and the unbonded prestressed tendon enables self-centering capacity.A refined finite element model of the SRRC column is developed, the effectiveness of which is validated
